Ringing in 2011, Perkins' Style

Well since Brian didn't get in town until late and the kids were in bed by 9pm, we had to have a little new years celebration. This didn't bother me one bit, since being with Brian (and my children in bed) is all I needed to have a great night. I can't wait to see what God has in store for the Perkins' family for 2011, but I know they will be amazing.

Somewhere along the way I lost all of my strength and I had an incredibly hard time opening the champagne bottle.

And since we got to celebrate with NYC we were in bed by 11:30.

The gift of the day was a brand new Buzz :)

Well another Christmas has come and gone and it was an AMAZING one at that. Brian and I were adamant at getting naps and bedtime on Christmas Eve right so that our children were happy and rested for the big day. Both kids had so much fun opening presents and playing with toys all day. I am currently in the process of going through old toys to make sure there is room for all the others. These are just a few pictures of the hundreds that were taken.

I wish I could post more cute videos and pictures but I just can't find the time. But Grammy taught Kimber to wave hello and goodbye and its so cute. She can even do it while she crawls.

Trick or Treat

We had a great Halloween this year with Briley getting a little more excited about all the candy. I will probably be trying to get the kids to coordinate for the next several years, so this year we went with a kitty and puppy. Unfortunately Briley wasn't too thrilled about the costumes so we didn't get any cute pictures of the two. But he still had tons of fun and he was so excited about the hundreds of dum-dums he recieved. He usually asks for one first thing in the morning (don't worry I definitely say No to this one).

The trunk-or-treat was awesome becuase we got to hit up so many cars without going door to door. Briley did great (he was a little grabby with the candy), but he always said "tanks".

My Little "Doll"

So Brian sometimes thinks I am a little crazy and reminds me that Kimber is not my little "doll". Yes I do change her outfit all of the time, and if we are going out I make sure she is in something that she has never worn before. The thing is, my sister has 3 beautiful girls, who were always dressed so cute, and I have been so fortunate to get all of the cute clothes which is totally awesome. Sometimes I get stressed out by how many Sunday dresses she has becuase I am not sure if I am going to get through all of them before the weather change. I have no time to put her in the same cute outfit twice which sometimes makes me sad.

So anyways I don't think its that I am treating her like my doll, but honestly I have so much fun picking out her outfits and taking pictures. Hence the 100's or maybe 1,000nds that I have uploaded on facebook. So while the boys went to the store for a few things last night me and Kimber had a LOT of fun playing dress up and taking cute pictures. Don't get me wrong, Brian really does love it when she looks all cute its more the way I get when she has a new outfit on :)

I Love PTO

I can honestly say one of the hardest jobs in the world is staying home, by yourself with 2 kids, all day. It is something that I absolutely love but not sure if I could do it all day every day forever (if you get my drift). Unless...Brian could be a stay at home dad with me. We have soooo much fun when we are together and I love it when Brian takes PTO days to hang out with the fam. We had 2 days of togetherness before I go back to school. It was filled with shopping, lots of playing together, and a wonderful trip to the Abilene Zoo with Grammy and Logan. Here are a few pictures of our trip to the Zoo and Briley playing on his swingset.
