Spring Break 2010

Christine came down from Dallas to help me get Kimber's room ready. We picked out the ribbon for the "chair rail" and she painted cute flowers, butterflies and a couple of birds on the wall. It looks wonderful and all it needs is Sarah's painting for over the crib, hanging the pink shelves, and putting the letters up along with decorations here and there. I love having artistic sisters.

This Spring Break has been much needed because there has been so much to do. We started out the week by me taking a trip with Brian where we just spent one night without our little boy to relax before the new baby comes. We had a lot of fun, which we always do together :)

Mid-week, Christine and I went to San Antonio to get my parents house ready for Julee's shower. On Thursday my mom said we were going to Macaroni Grill for a girls night with my aunts and cousins wife. To my surprise they had planned a little surprise shower for me. It was wonderful to see my Aunt Linda, Aunt Lynn, Britteny, and of course little Jewels. Kimber got a bunch of cute pink clothes which always makes me happy.

Julee and I had yet to see each other since we were pregnant. We talk a few times a week to catch up but there is nothing like going through a pregnancy with your best friends. If only Jill, who is also pregnant, lived in Texas than the pregnant CHS friends would be complete. There will definitely be lots of pictures of all three of our little ones ASAP.

The main purpose for the SA trip, besides hanging out with my parents and sister Christine, was to get ready for Julee's shower. It was wonderful getting to see all of our family and just to hang out with her.

Another big milestone this spring break is that today I turned 36 weeks which is officially 9 months along. I feel like she could be here any day now which is so exciting and the anticipation is almost too much. I was comparing this weeks picture with last week and I can't believe how much I have grown in 1 week and also how much I have dropped. I didn't realize until I compared the 2 pictures. So the 1st one is 35 weeks and the second is 36 weeks.

There is still a few things that need to be done before next weekend so that way I am better prepared for Kimber. Shelves need to be hung in the baby room and everything finished, Bassinet, swing, and bouncing chair need to be taken down from the attic, and car seat base needs to be installed. I feel like I am going crazy and Kimber can't come until all of this is finished. Not to mention the house needs to stay clean because what would I do if it was dirty when I went into labor. Nesting is in full swing and who knows, the next post might be of our new addition.
