Sunny California

Brian, Briley and I were so fortunate to get to go to San Diego for one of Brian's good friends weddings. We took 3 days off of work to make sure we got to see all the sights and relax near the Pacific Ocean. The weather was a little chilly so the little time we spent by the water was covered up by jackets. But the beauty of the city made a tan seem not as important.

We went up to Mt. Soledad in La Jolla, CA to see the city and take some good pictures. La Jolla is where we spent most of our time because this is where all of the wedding festivities took place.

The rehearsal dinner took place on Friday at a restaurant called The Beach House. There were lots of people that flew in for the wedding so it was really exciting. Briley had such a good time, and we were so glad we ended up bringing him. He happened to be the only baby there so he was the center of attention a lot of the time.

Briley has recently started raising his hands all the time. (He actually started to wave on the trip also, so lots of his arm raises turn to waves). I am not quite sure what it is for but it originated from his love for fans and signs and turned into raising his arms for everything. I wish I could post all of the pictures of him striking this pose.

The restaurant was absolutely amazing. We had salad and then several entrees to choose from, but once we saw whole lobster on the menu, no other options were needed. It was delicious and we ended with molten lava cake and cheesecake.

The day of the wedding, Brian was busy with the groomsmen, so we went to the beach. Briley loved the sand and tried to get to the water many times. It was a little too cold so we saved the ocean for another time.

The wedding took place on Torrey Pines State Beach. It was beautiful even though it was a little on the cold side.

The reception was also beautiful and was at the Museum of Contemporary Art.

Briley didn't get to actually taste the amazing meal they made for him, so the table shared it. I couldn't believe how thoughtful it was for them to make Briley his own kid's meal.

The happy couple with little Briley.

We had such a wonderful time and hope to go back there again to see everyone who lives out in California.

A Wonderful Easter

We had a wonderful Easter this year. The rain cleared by Sunday morning and the weather was absolutely perfect.

Brian got some beautiful tulips from work, so we decided to get a couple pots and add to our landscaping. We also bot some geraniums (which has been a flower I have always wanted in our yard). I can't say the tulip's looked this good the next morning. We are starting to think that they are better left indoors.

Briley in his cute Easter outfit. This was given to us before he was born and I have to say I am so thankful for it. I am not sure if its San Angelo, or just the lack of boys clothes out there, but I looked forever to find I cute outfit and I think they were hiding in between all the frilly girl clothes.

Showing off his 2 big teeth.

The whole gang for Easter dinner (minus grammy behind the camera). We were thankful to have Me-Mo and Grandpa and Grandma Perkins join us.

Off we go, slowly but surely.

Briley did pretty good considering he was up against his 5 year old cousin. All in all it was a wonderful, relaxing day that celebrated the resurrection of our Lord. We are all truly blessed.
