Entering the 3rd Trimester

It's the home stretch so I wanted to post my baby bump progress. I also attached a few cute pictures of our Big Brother Briley.

Holidays 2009

We had an absolutely wonderful, family-filled Christmas Break. The Tuesday before Christmas we headed to Denton, Texas to stay with the Sanders family along with my parents and the Johnstons. This makes for quite a crowd with 5 kids under the age of 6, 2 teenagers, and 8 adults, all under the same roof. This is exactly the way I love my holidays, with way too many people, lots of food and a big mess. We all headed to the Gaylord Texas on Christmas Eve to attempt to see the Ice Sculptures, but we didn't plan well and all the tickets were sold out. So we walked around, enjoyed all the lights, took pictures with Santa, and spent an hour trying to get out of the parking garage.

With 7 Grandchildren there were lots of stockings and lots of Christmas presents under the tree. They also had matching Pottery Barn stockings that Christine was able to embroider for everyone. I probably should have also posted the mess we made after all the presents were opened.

Briley got the concept of Santa and presents a little better than last year, but he still has a long ways to go. He loved getting his toothbrush from Santa, a real football, a tee-ball set and lots of books to read.

One of the greatest things about this Christmas was all the snow that Denton got on Christmas Eve so we woke up to a beautiful white Christmas. Unfortunately we were in a hurry to get to East Texas so we didn't get to make snow angels or a snowman.

Another present Briley got, from Sarah and the kids, was a Buzz Lightyear. Gavin was so excited to introduce his favorite super-hero to his little cousin, and after Briley watched Toy Story for the 1st time he was hooked. He loves his Buzz figure and his Toy Story backpack. All we need to do now is go by him the movie.

It was so fun to see all of my family at my Grandparents. We enjoyed Christmas dinner and hanging out with people that we haven't seen in way to long.

Before we headed back to San Angelo we went out to eat with a few of our friends, the Souders, the Motens, and Brady and Abigail.

After 4 days in West Texas we headed back to Denton for New Year's Eve, Hadley's Sweet 16 Party and to meet little Presley Elisabeth Souders.

Christmas #1

Since this is the Christmas with my parents we celebrated this weekend with the Perkins Family. We all piled in Mary's (Brian's mom) new car to meet Great Grandpa and Great Grandma Perkins at a wonderful little restaurant in Tuscola, Texas called The Homeplace. It was an old farmhouse that served really good homecooked food (the mac n' cheese was the best). After a wonderful lunch we headed back to our house to let Briley get his first opportunity to open up presents. He was too small last Christmas, and way to tired at his 1st birthday. After present time Brian's parents joined us at Paul Ann Baptist to a Christmas concert with an amazing singer named Anthony Evans. It was a perfect day full of Christmas festivities and I am so excited for Christmas #2.

It's Official!

He was such a sweet little baby.

And now he is sweet Big Boy!

Briley is officially 1.5 years old. We just went in for his check up and thankful he has done a little more growing compared to the last appointment. I believe both height and weight were under the 20th percentile. Well he weighed in at 23 lbs (17th percentile) and he was 32.75 in (67th percentile). So we have ourselves a tall/skinny little boy. I can't believe he is 18 months and will be a big brother shortly. We absolutely love every minute with him and its crazy how much joy children can bring to your life.

A way overdue blog

This year we had a lot to be thankful for... we have wonderful family and friends, Brian got a promotion, I have a healthy baby girl growing inside of me, and Brian's Grandpa had a successful heart surgery where they put a pacemaker in. God is sooooo Goood! We had a wonderful day in Abilene with Grandma and Grandpa Perkins, and the food was amazing, too.
I really wish I could get Briley to wear his hats because he has a huge collection, but he loves wearing Brian and my hats backwards or sideways. It's hilarious so I uploaded a few of the pictures.

This is a picture from 20 wks 3 days. I have successfully passed the half way mark and baby Kimber Lindsay is kicking like crazy. Everytime she moves I can't help but feel joy of the miracle that God is giving to Brian and I. I will post more belly pictures once there is more changes.

No Tricks, Just Treats

Briley as a little monkey

Briley was able to go Trick or Treating for the 1st time this year and it was wonderful. We went over to a friends home so we could go with their 2 year old son, Judson. They had an awesome wagon that made things a lot easier and we just wheeled Briley up to the door.

Briley and Judson in the wagon. He was a golfer and they were adorable together. I am already thinking about what Briley will be next year.

Daddy's Softball Games

Briley and I love to go watch Brian play co-ed club softball. We only get to go to the early games and Briley loves to see his daddy on the field.
